Vidyard costs $0 on the Free plan, $59 per seat per month on Starter billed annually ($89 if you pay month to month), and a custom quote on Teams and Enterprise. The Video Agent add-on, which sends unlimited AI-generated personalized videos, adds $24 per seat per month on annual billing or $29 monthly. For a sales team, the real decision is whether you need a CRM integration, because Salesforce and HubSpot sync starts on Teams, the plan Vidyard does not publish a price for.

All prices below come from Vidyard's own pricing page and the machine-readable pricing file it publishes for AI agents, in US dollars per seat, before tax. The pricing page currently tags Starter as 10 percent off, so check the checkout total before you sign.

Vidyard says annual billing saves about 30 percent against monthly, and the numbers bear that out: $59 against $89 is a 34 percent gap on Starter.

How much does Vidyard cost per year for a sales team?

A single Starter seat costs $708 a year on annual billing and $1,068 if you pay monthly for twelve months. Adding Video Agent takes an annual seat to $996. Multiply by the reps who record, because Vidyard bills every paid seat, and remember that viewers never need a seat.

1$708$1,068$996$1,416
3$2,124$3,204$2,988$4,248

Teams is not in the table because Vidyard quotes it. The plan description says it is built for teams of five or more, so a five rep SDR team that wants activity logged in Salesforce should budget at least the Starter figure and expect the quote to come in above it.

Is the Vidyard free plan enough for business use?

For one person testing video prospecting, yes. For a rep with a quota, usually not. Free caps you at 5 recordings a month and 30 minutes per video, and it has no video hosting, no analytics, no captions and no branded sharing page. The analytics gap is the one that matters: without view notifications and watch time, a sales video is a guess. Most reps who send more than one video a week outgrow Free inside the first month.

What do you get with Vidyard Starter that Free does not have?

Starter removes the recording caps and adds the reporting a manager needs: full video analytics, an insights dashboard, team performance reports, CTA templates under the video, automated captions, password-protected videos and a sharing page with your logo instead of Vidyard's. It also unlocks the AI script generator. It does not include CRM sync, video hubs or scheduled release and expiry; those start on Teams.

Do you need Teams for Salesforce or HubSpot?

Yes, for the data sync. Vidyard's feature table lists data integrations as not included on Free and Starter, 2 on Teams and unlimited on Enterprise. Starter does connect to the Video Agent workflow integrations and the partner app, so a rep can record from inside Gmail or LinkedIn, but views will not land on the contact record in your CRM. If your sales ops lead measures video by pipeline influenced, plan for Teams and get the quote before you compare vendors on Starter prices.

Is the Vidyard Video Agent add-on worth it?

It is worth it when you have more triggers than reps have time to record for. Video Agent creates and sends a personalized AI avatar video when a buyer downloads content, books a demo or hits another event you connect through Salesloft, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo or Zapier. At $24 per seat per month on annual billing, it pays for itself if it books one extra meeting a quarter per rep. It is weak value for account executives who send a handful of hand-recorded videos to late-stage deals, because the human recording is the point there.

If the automated video goes out inside an email sequence, the sequence itself still needs to land. A cold email software that writes the personalized sequence and protects deliverability handles the part Vidyard does not, which is getting the message into the inbox in the first place.

Vidyard pricing compared with Loom

Loom is the tool most Vidyard buyers price against. On Atlassian's current pricing, Loom Business is $18 per user per month, or about $15 billed yearly, and Business + AI is $24, or about $20 yearly. That makes a 10 person team roughly $1,800 a year on Loom Business against $7,080 on Vidyard Starter. The gap buys real things: Vidyard has sales-specific analytics, CTA templates, AI avatars and the Video Agent automation, while Loom is built for internal walkthroughs and async updates. Our Loom pricing breakdown has the per-seat math, including the change that made every workspace member a paid seat.

Where Vidyard stops, and what fills the gap

Vidyard records you, your screen and, with Video Agent, an AI avatar of you talking. What none of its plans do is show the customer's world: the delivery van pulling up, a crew using the product on a job site, the dashboard on a wall screen in a busy warehouse. Those few seconds are what make a prospecting video feel specific to an industry instead of another talking head.

That shot is where a scene generator comes in. With VideoMake you describe the scene or upload a product photo and get a 4, 8 or 12 second clip in 16:9 or 9:16, cleared for commercial use, which you drop into the Vidyard recording as a cutaway. It is a different purchase from Vidyard, not a replacement: we do not record your screen, host videos or track viewers, and we do not make avatars. Our AI b-roll generator page shows how teams use these clips as cutaways, and the VideoMake plans are billed per account, not per seat.

If the debate is between an avatar platform and a recorder rather than between Vidyard tiers, our HeyGen pricing guide converts avatar credits into minutes per plan, which is the fair comparison for Video Agent.

Does Vidyard offer a free trial?

Yes. Starter has a 14-day trial from the pricing page, and the Free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card. The trial is the time to test the analytics and CTAs with real prospects, because those are the features you are paying $59 a seat for.

Can you pay for Vidyard monthly?

Yes, on Starter, at $89 per seat per month, plus $29 for Video Agent. Enterprise is billed by invoice with annual and multi-year options. Monthly billing makes sense for a pilot with two or three reps; once video is part of the playbook, annual billing cuts the bill by about a third.

How to keep the Vidyard bill down

  • Seat only the reps who record. Managers who only review analytics and buyers who watch do not need paid seats on a per-seat plan; check the admin settings before renewal.
  • Pilot on monthly, commit on annual. Two reps for two months on monthly costs $356 and tells you whether reply rates move before you lock in a year.
  • Add Video Agent to the seats that run sequences. The add-on is per seat, so SDRs with high-volume triggers get it and closers who record by hand do not.
  • Get the Teams quote early. If CRM sync is a requirement, Starter pricing is not your real price, and the comparison with Loom or other tools should use the quote.

Vidyard is a sales tool priced like one. If your team lives in outbound and needs to prove video's effect on pipeline, Starter at $708 a seat a year is a reasonable line item. If what you need is a scene your recording cannot show, that is a separate, smaller purchase.
