DeepBrain AI vs HeyGen Pricing and Cost per Avatar Minute
Same $24 entry price, two opposite billing models. One meters every avatar minute in credits, the other caps the length of each video and stops counting.
What $24 a month, billed yearly, buys
Unlimited videos, each up to 30 minutes
600 credits at 31 a minute on Avatar IV Video Look
Need the shot around the presenter, a product close up or a 4 to 8 second lip synced hook for an ad? The panel on the right renders it from a prompt or a photo.
The short answer
DeepBrain AI Studios and HeyGen both start at $24 a month billed yearly. AI Studios Personal lists unlimited avatar videos of up to 30 minutes each, while HeyGen Creator buys 600 credits, about 19 minutes of Avatar IV Video Look or 150 minutes of the older Avatar III. Volume buyers save on AI Studios; teams that need SCORM, an API or translation pay less on HeyGen.
AI Studios plans and limits were read from aistudios.com/pricing in October 2026, with credit rules from its help center. HeyGen plans were read from heygen.com/pricing in October 2026 and credit rates from HeyGen's help center. All prices are in US dollars. Minutes per plan and cost per minute are our arithmetic; neither company publishes them.
AI Studios and HeyGen plans side by side
Each row pairs the plans a buyer at that stage actually weighs. The difference that runs through every row is the meter: HeyGen counts credits per minute of avatar, AI Studios counts the length of each video.
| Stage | DeepBrain AI Studios | HeyGen |
|---|---|---|
| Trying it | Free: 3 videos a month, 1 minute each, 720p, 1 custom avatar, 16 one time credits | Free: 3 videos a month, 1 minute each, watermarked, 1 custom avatar |
| One person, paid | Personal: $24 a month billed yearly ($288) or $29 monthly. Unlimited videos up to 30 minutes, 1080p, 3 custom avatars, 120 dubbing minutes, 60 credits | Creator: $24 a month billed yearly ($288) or $29 monthly. 600 credits, videos up to 30 minutes, 1080p, voice cloning, 175+ languages |
| One person, more | Team with one seat: $55 billed yearly ($660). 60 minute videos, 4K, 5 custom avatars, 240 dubbing minutes | Pro: from $49 a month, 1,000 credits at the base tier, up to 4K, higher credit tiers available |
| A team | Team: $55 a seat a month billed yearly or $69 monthly, 150 credits a seat | Business: $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat, 1,500 credits, SAML SSO, SCORM, LMS integrations, 60 minute videos |
| Live conversation | Interactive Avatar Standard: $99 a month, 100 credits at 1 credit per 5 minutes, 20 concurrent users, API session access | Not priced on the studio plan page |
| Large company | Enterprise: quoted. SCORM, SAML SSO, bulk video, unlimited length | Enterprise: quoted. No video length maximum, SCIM, invoice billing |
AI Studios says yearly billing saves 20 percent. Its stock avatar library grows from 40+ on Free to 100+ on Personal and 155+ on Team, next to 2,000+ AI generated avatars on every plan. Full HeyGen credit rates for each avatar model are in our HeyGen pricing and credits breakdown, and every AI Studios tier is in our DeepBrain AI pricing guide.
What 10, 30 or 60 minutes of avatar video a month costs
This is where the two billing models split. The HeyGen column assumes Avatar IV Video Look at 31 credits a minute, the look most buyers compare against AI Studios. On the older Avatar III Video Look, at 4 credits a minute, Creator covers all three rows.
10 minutes a month
- AI Studios
- AI Studios Personal, $24
- HeyGen
- HeyGen Creator, $24
A tie. 310 HeyGen credits fit inside Creator with room for revisions, and Personal covers the same minutes without a meter.
30 minutes a month
- AI Studios
- AI Studios Personal, $24
- HeyGen
- HeyGen Pro, from $49
930 credits is past Creator's 600, so HeyGen moves you up a plan. AI Studios stays on Personal, as long as no single video passes 30 minutes.
60 minutes a month
- AI Studios
- AI Studios Personal, $24
- HeyGen
- Past Pro's base 1,000 credits
1,860 credits needs a higher Pro tier or extra credits. On AI Studios that hour works out near $0.40 a minute on Personal.
$0.16
That is HeyGen's cost per minute on Avatar III Video Look with yearly Creator, and it is the one place HeyGen beats a flat plan on raw volume. If your library can live with the older look, 600 credits stretch to about 150 minutes. Pick on the avatar your audience will actually see, then do the arithmetic.
DeepBrain AI vs HeyGen cost per year for one to five seats
AI Studios Team is priced per seat. HeyGen Business has a base price and a cheaper extra seat, so the gap narrows as the team grows. HeyGen figures use the $149 monthly list price, which is what its pricing page shows for Business.
| Seats | AI Studios Team, yearly | AI Studios Team, monthly | HeyGen Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $660 | $828 | $1,788 |
| 3 | $1,980 | $2,484 | $2,268 |
| 5 | $3,300 | $4,140 | $2,748 |
At five seats HeyGen Business is about $550 a year cheaper on list price and includes SCORM and SSO. It also caps the team at 1,500 credits a month before extra credits, roughly 48 minutes of Avatar IV Video Look. AI Studios Team keeps avatar videos off the credit meter for every seat. A five person team shipping a few hours of training a month pays less on AI Studios once HeyGen credit top ups are counted; a team publishing a handful of short videos into an LMS pays less on HeyGen.
Six rules that decide the real bill
The plan prices are close enough that the fine print usually picks the winner. These come from each vendor's pricing page and help center.
Length caps instead of a meter
AI Studios limits each video to 30 minutes on Personal and 60 on Team. A 45 minute compliance module needs Team on AI Studios and Business on HeyGen, where Creator and Pro also stop at 30.
Credits pay for different things
On HeyGen every avatar minute spends credits. On AI Studios credits pay for generated footage at 0.4 to 3.5 credits a second, images and dubbing past your included minutes.
Rollover only on HeyGen
HeyGen studio credits survive one extra billing cycle. AI Studios credits and dubbing minutes reset every cycle, and the yearly credit pot lands up front.
SCORM sits on different tiers
HeyGen exports SCORM from Business at $149 a month. AI Studios lists SCORM, SSO and bulk video under Enterprise only, so the price is a sales quote.
Only HeyGen has a public video API
HeyGen's API is a separate dollar balance charged per second, from $0.60 a minute, expiring 12 months after purchase. AI Studios lists API access only for live interactive avatars.
Dubbing comes included on AI Studios
Personal includes 120 dubbing minutes a month with lip sync and Team 240. On HeyGen, lip synced translation in precision mode uses 10 credits a minute from the same pool as your avatars.
DeepBrain AI or HeyGen by the job you are buying for
Course creator or consultant shipping hours of lessons
AI Studios Personal
Unlimited avatar videos up to 30 minutes for $288 a year is the lowest cost per minute for a single producer at volume, and 120 dubbing minutes cover a second language.
L&D team that must publish into an LMS now
HeyGen Business
SCORM, LMS integrations and SAML SSO from $149 a month plus $20 a seat, without waiting on an Enterprise quote.
Product team building video into an app
HeyGen API
A public pay as you go API charged per second. AI Studios does not list a self serve video API.
Support desk or kiosk with a live avatar
AI Studios Interactive Avatar
$99 a month for about 500 minutes of live conversation with 20 concurrent users and API session access.

Where a clip generator fits next to AI Studios or HeyGen
Many people pricing avatar platforms do not need a presenter reading a ten minute script. They need the shots that cut away from one. Here is the honest split.
| AI Studios or HeyGen | VideoMake | |
|---|---|---|
| Long scripted presenter video | Yes, up to 30 or 60 minutes per video | No. Presenter clips are 4 or 8 seconds |
| A product, place or scene with no person | Limited, paid from a small credit pot | Yes, 4, 8 or 12 second clips from a prompt or a photo |
| Short lip synced hook for an ad | Yes | Yes, 15 stock presenters or your own from a photo with consent |
| Cost | Cents to about $2 per avatar minute | About $1 per second of 720p on Plus |
If the deliverable is a presenter talking for minutes, buy AI Studios or HeyGen; per minute they cost far less than we do. VideoMake earns its place when that video needs a warehouse establishing shot, a product hero or a vertical ad opener no avatar platform films. Studio on every plan then upscales, captions, adds a voiceover and joins the clips.
Questions people ask about DeepBrain AI vs HeyGen
Is DeepBrain AI better than HeyGen?
DeepBrain AI is the better buy for one person producing a lot of long presenter videos, because AI Studios Personal lists unlimited avatar videos of up to 30 minutes for $24 a month billed yearly. HeyGen is better for teams that need SCORM below Enterprise, a public API or wide translation, since its Business plan and pay as you go API cover what AI Studios keeps for sales quotes.
Which is cheaper, DeepBrain AI or HeyGen?
For heavy avatar volume, DeepBrain AI. Both entry plans cost $24 a month billed yearly, but HeyGen Creator buys 600 credits, about 19 minutes of Avatar IV Video Look, while AI Studios Personal does not charge avatar videos against credits. HeyGen is cheaper only on its older Avatar III look, at about 16 cents a minute, and at five seats on Business.
Is DeepBrain AI the same as AI Studios?
Yes. AI Studios is the video product made by DeepBrain AI, and it now sells under the AI Studios name at aistudios.com. That is why searches for DeepBrain AI pricing and AI Studios pricing land on the same plans: Free, Personal, Team, Enterprise and a separate Interactive Avatar plan.
Does DeepBrain AI have unlimited videos?
Yes, on paid plans. AI Studios lists unlimited videos on Personal and Team, limited by length: 30 minutes per video on Personal and 60 on Team. Generative credits are spent on generated footage, images and extra dubbing, not on avatar videos. The free plan stops at 3 videos of 1 minute each.
Which one exports SCORM, HeyGen or DeepBrain AI?
HeyGen, from its Business plan at $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat, which also adds SAML single sign on and LMS integrations. AI Studios lists SCORM export, SSO and bulk video only under Enterprise, which is quoted by sales. A training team that must publish into an LMS this quarter gets there faster on HeyGen.
Does DeepBrain AI have an API like HeyGen?
Not on its public price list for video. HeyGen sells a pay as you go API charged by the second, from $0.60 a minute for an Avatar III Digital Twin to $7.20 for Avatar V. The AI Studios pricing page lists API based session access only on the $99 Interactive Avatar Standard plan; video generation by API goes through Enterprise.
Do HeyGen and DeepBrain AI credits roll over?
HeyGen studio credits survive one extra billing cycle and then expire, so a quiet month helps the next one. AI Studios credits and dubbing minutes reset every cycle and do not roll over; on a yearly plan the full year of credits arrives up front, while dubbing minutes still reset monthly.
Can I use DeepBrain AI and HeyGen videos commercially?
Yes on paid plans. AI Studios marks commercial use rights on every plan in its comparison table. HeyGen's Free plan carries a watermark and is meant for testing, so a business video for an ad, a course or a sales sequence starts on Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, where the watermark is removed.
