The short answer
WeVideo costs $4.99, $7.99, $19.99 or $36.99 a month billed yearly (Power, Unlimited, Professional, Business), or $9.99, $15.99, $39.99 and $73.99 billed monthly. A year costs $59.88 to $443.88 on annual billing. Business covers up to three editors, which works out to about $148 a seat a year. Teachers pay $89 a year, and a 30 seat classroom account starts at $374 a year.

Four paid tiers for individuals and small businesses plus a free plan. What separates them is how many minutes you may publish each month, export resolution, stock access, brand controls and whether more than one person can work in the account.

The top of the same pricing page also shows two simplified cards: Creator at $240 a year or $28 a month, with unlimited publishing, 1M+ stock assets, premium effects and 4K, and Teams at $624 a year or $75 a month for a three seat license with custom templates, real time collaboration and user permissions. Creator lines up with Professional almost to the cent. Teams is listed at $180 more a year than Business for a similar three person setup, so compare the two at checkout before you pay.
WeVideo cost per year: annual vs monthly billing
On the four tier plans, paying yearly halves the price. Because WeVideo does not refund unused time, the yearly plan is only a saving if you are sure you will still be editing in month seven.

WeVideo started in classrooms and a large share of its buyers are K-12 and higher ed. Education plans are sold per account, not per student, and the seat count is fixed at 30.

If your job is editing, WeVideo is the cheaper tool by a wide margin and we would tell you to buy it. Professional at $239.88 a year gets one marketer a full editor with 4K exports, brand controls and unlimited stock.
The gap shows up when the timeline has a hole in it. The product never got filmed on a clean set, the ad needs a vertical opener that stops the scroll, the explainer needs an establishing shot of a warehouse you do not own. Stock fills it with the same clip other advertisers use. A generator gives you an original shot from a sentence, and the clip drops into WeVideo as your own upload. How much does WeVideo cost?
Billed yearly, WeVideo Power is $4.99 a month, Unlimited $7.99, Professional $19.99 and Business $36.99, which is $59.88, $95.88, $239.88 and $443.88 a year. Billed monthly the same plans cost $9.99, $15.99, $39.99 and $73.99. The pricing page also shows a Creator plan at $240 a year and a three seat Teams plan at $624 a year.
How much does WeVideo cost for a teacher?
The Single Teacher plan is $89 a year for one K-12 educator and needs a valid school email address. For a class, Classroom starts at $374 a year for a 30 seat account and Instructor is $384 a year for 30 seats with the interactive video designer. Schools with more than 30 licenses buy the Organization plan through sales.
Is WeVideo free?
WeVideo has a free plan, but it allows only 5 minutes of published video a month, 1 GB of storage and 480p exports with a WeVideo watermark. That is enough to try the editor, not to publish anything for a business. Power removes the watermark but still caps publishing at 30 minutes a month and 720p.
Does WeVideo offer refunds?
No. WeVideo's pricing page states that all fees are non-refundable. If you cancel a monthly or annual subscription you keep access until the end of the paid period, but you do not get money back for the unused time. Annual plans are charged in full upfront and renew automatically, with an email reminder before renewal.
Is the WeVideo annual plan charged all at once?
Yes. Annual plans are billed as one upfront payment for 12 months, so Professional is a single $239.88 charge and Business a single $443.88 charge, plus tax. Monthly plans bill on the same date every month. Both renew automatically unless you cancel from account settings.
Which WeVideo plan exports in 4K?
Unlimited, Professional, Business, Creator and Teams all export up to 4K Ultra HD. Power stops at 720p and the free plan at 480p. The education plans are listed at Standard HD. So the cheapest 4K option is Unlimited at $7.99 a month billed yearly, or $95.88 a year.
Does WeVideo generate AI video?
No. WeVideo's AI Assist covers automatic subtitles, background noise removal and, on interactive plans, AI generated quiz questions. It does not render new footage from a text prompt. You edit your own recordings and uploads, plus its stock library, which is why a generator is a separate purchase.
Is WeVideo worth the money?
For editing, yes. Unlimited at $95.88 a year is one of the cheapest ways to get a 4K browser editor with no publishing cap, and Business at under $150 per editor a year is good value for a team of three. It is poor value if you mostly need footage you do not have, because the editor cannot create it.
